Bio

Laki is a Sri-Lankan British VFX Production specialist alongside operating as a  Producer and Scriptwriter with a diverse history of experience in the television and film industry. Having started primarily in Post Production working as a facility based Edit-assistant and then Editor, he pursued more story-crafting roles in Unscripted working as a self-shooting AP and Digital Producer in Sports and Commercial before transitioning to Visual Effects in Film and HETV. Working on BAFTA winning and Oscar nominated productions and with a strong technical foundation and understanding of the filmmaking process on both grassroots and high-budget films he is focusing this experience into creating independent productions that provide a spotlight on narratives that have not yet been given a huge platform to connect with audiences.  Recently he has been selected to join the Screenskills HETV Leaders of Tomorrow Cohort and is utilising the support of this newfound network to workshop ideas to write and direct new content.
